Talk Therapy and Somatics
Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is an integrative somatic technique that can be used to identify how and why stress, trauma, and belief systems that hinder growth and expansion live in our being, and offers a clinically validated way to release them. NET and clinical hypnosis can be woven into the sessions described below. They can also be standalone treatments, targeting particular blocks or triggers that keep an emotional experience or world view lodged in one’s physiology and psyche. By rewiring the brain’s and body’s response to old wounds, we can help you become more aligned with what you really want, personally, and professionally. You’ll learn how to more deeply listen to your own body’s communications, and release what you’ve been holding in your system. This is a particularly powerful approach to propel creatives, founders, management teams, and thereby their entire companies towards even greater expansion.
While we have the privilege to experience the full spectrum of emotions, some are ripe messages about what we’re ready to release. Together, we’ll explore the landscape of your unconscious and subconscious world (it dictates so much of how you feel and act!) By learning how you relate to yourself in your physical, mental, emotional, and other energy bodies, we can help you integrate and release the painful feelings that have you seeking therapy. The security and warmth of a nurturing, sturdy therapeutic relationship can help you to move through fear, shame, grief, anger, and old wounds that influence how you feel and act in the present. We’ll create opportunities for you to finally shift out of old familiar patterns, cope in ways that feel more in line with your goals and values, and instill belief systems that are aligned with your present day desires.
The people we are closest to have the capacity to serve as mirrors into the most wounded parts of ourselves. Anger, confusion, grief, and other unprocessed emotions so easily, and often unconsciously, emerge in intimate relationships.
Couple or family therapy is a process by which each member of the couple can learn the real reasons behind the reactions one person elicits in the other, and begin to work through stalemates that are often about more than what they present to be. It offers an opportunity to make contact in safe and honest ways that can seem inaccessible in daily interaction, fostering compassion for your own needs, and that of the other.
